Our chefs are "seasoned" culinary school graduates with an emphasis on healthy food preparation. One of our chefs will talk to you about what you want and need…an interview will be conducted to discuss food preferences, goals, and special dietary considerations as well as complete a detailed food questionnaire. All of this will help us to customize your menu. Before each cook day, menus will be presented for your approval and adjusted as needed. Cooking day is the fun day—first, Basil & Barbell's uses only the freshest, highest quality, organic groceries available. We don't use processed or prepackaged foods. Naturally, this is the foundation for a great tasting, healthy meal. We prepare the meals in your home then package and refrigerate each meal complete with detailed reheating instructions. It's important to follow these directions as closely as possible to ensure that the food tastes as fresh as when it was created. And you don't even have to clean up the mess! It's important to eat a balanced diet that is right for YOU, but exercise should have no less the same considerations. Basil & Barbells personal trainers create programs to ensure an optimal fitness level. We customize your workouts in the same way: we assess your goals and design the best plan for you. All our trainers are certified nationally. Like our personal chef program, our trainers will come to your home and conduct an in depth interview to discuss your personal goals and any health issues. After which, you will be assessed with a detailed health questionnaire. Based on this information as well as any medical criteria, we will create a training program adjusting as needed. There are many benefits to a home personal trainer: It's time efficient, focused, and there is no wait time to use the equipment. Not to mention far less distracting. Most important, one on one sessions are tailored to your goals. We get to know you and what you want. It's not a one size fits all plan. We make the sessions interesting and challenging so you are inspired. No two sessions are alike. Here is what it looks like: You make an appointment with one of our trainers for a specific date and time. We come to your home and during this session we will act as an exercise partner, teach you techniques in your exercises to avoid injury, track your progress and modify the program as needed.
